MEXICANO MIO - GLUTEN FREE

The entire menu is gluten free - maize flour is used in place of wheat (e.g. for tacos and quesadillas) throughout this menu. An authentic Mexican menu inspired from my travels.

Entradas - Starters:

1. Guacamole en Molcajete – Freshly made guacamole with ripe avocados, lime, red onion, jalapeños, and coriander, served with warm tortilla chips.

2. Elote Asado – Grilled Mexican street corn with vegan mayo, lime, chili powder, and crumbled cotija cheese (our go to meal of the day!)

3. Tostadas de Pulpo – Crispy tortillas topped with charred octopus, avocado, and chipotle crema.

4. Quesadilla de Champiñones – Soft tortillas filled with sautéed mushrooms, mozzarella and oregano.

5. Ceviche de Mango y Aguacate – Fresh mango and avocado ceviche with lime, red onion, and coriander.

6. Tacos de Camarones al Pastor – Shrimp marinated in pineapple and chili, served with pickled red onions.

7. Esquites – Warm corn salad with chili, lime, mayo, and Parmesan.

Platos Principales - Main Course:

1. Cochinita Pibil – Slow-roasted pork marinated in traditional spices and citrus, smoked in banana leaves, served with pickled onions and tortillas.

2. Birria de Res – Braised beef stew in a rich chili broth, served with beef consommé

3. Enchiladas Verdes – Corn tortillas stuffed with shredded chicken or jackfruit, topped with tomatillo salsa and melted cheese.

4. Tacos de Pescado – Fish tacos with cabbage slaw and creamy chipotle sauce.

5. Fajitas Mixtas – Sizzling platters of marinated vegetables, chicken or prawns served with guacamole, sour cream, and tortillas.

6. Vegan Al Pastor Tacos – Marinated jackfruit with pineapple salsa and spicy cashew crema.

Postres - Dessert:

1. Churros con Chocolate – Crisp, golden cornmeal churros dusted with cinnamon sugar, served with warm chocolate dipping sauce.

2. Pan de Elote – Mexican sweetcorn cake, moist and buttery, served with coconut cream.

3. Pastel de Chocolate Mexicano – Spiced Mexican chocolate cake with a hint of cinnamon and chili, served with vanilla ice cream.

4. Capirotada – Mexican bread pudding with dried fruit, nuts, and a dark sugar syrup glaze.

5. Arroz con Leche – Creamy rice pudding flavoured with cinnamon and vanilla, garnished with raisins.

6. Buñuelos – Crispy fried dough discs dusted with sugar and cinnamon, served with anise syrup.

7. Mousse de Mango con Chamoy – Creamy mango mousse topped with tangy chamoy (home-brined and pickled fruit sauce) with chili powder.
